Lives in Ukraine

This blog is always about short stories but today my heart goes out to the people who are affected in the Ukraine and Russia war.

The most talked-about thing is how the oil price will increase, sanctions against Russia, and fear of war. But there was something that Biden said, that each and everyone forget about. The place where the bomb fell from the attack launched by Putin orders on behalf of Russia, people died.

We all have fears but we tend to forget that lives are at stake. People die when bombs are launched. People die when groups of activists start to do violent rallies. People die when a serial killer decides to do those selfish acts of evil.

Worldly leaders are people who strive for personal success, power and being recognized by others. Worldly leaders are self-willed, self-seeking, and self-promoting. Self-promotion, craving recognition, and seeking to be honored by people are not the way of Jesus (1). Leaders who are Biblical strive to teach, lead, love, and serve others. It’s about the people, not about the leader.
