What if you tried just once?

Gustav is a retiree since 2029. Since he retired, he has been living with his son and his wife along with their child. Gustav suffers from all sorts of chronic diseases.

Lydia is Gustav’s daughter in law who is a housewife. She takes care of all the duties in the house, looking after Gustav, and helps her child with after-school activities. Gustav and Lydia don’t get along too well and often the atmosphere in the house will be uncomfortable. These two people differ in opinions on how certain things should be done.

Gustav decided that he wants to move out into a small apartment, at the ripe age of 65. Although it is understandable the reason behind his move, Gustav’s son can’t but help to worry about his father’s decision. His father suffers from chronic illnesses and needs a lot of support. Nevertheless, Gustav moves out.

It’s been a week since Gustav moved into his apartment. Things haven’t been so good. He has called his son to come and visit him. Some of the people in the complex he’s living in has complaints and now Gustav needs to give up certain things. It seems that the decision he has made was now an uncomfortable one. He’s not enjoying the surroundings, he’s feeling lonely and needs to give up certain things that he wouldn’t have to if he still lived with his son.

Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and he will establish your plans. — Proverbs 16:3

Are you a believer in Jesus Christ? Do you ask His guidance? Maybe you’re someone who isn’t a believer and thus you will not even think about asking for guidance from someone you don’t believe in. But what if you tried, just once?
